About

Round Lake Area News

Many years ago there used to be a Round Lake Area News newspaper published specifically for the Round Lake Area. For reasons unknown, other than the possible costs and subscriber base, it became extinct. Now the only news you will find regarding events and local area news are tucked away in portions of the Daily Herald and maybe the Waukegan News Sun. It would take some breaking news for anything to show up in the Chicago Tribune or other major media outlets.

Providing News Coverage for the Round Lake Area

Thus began the journey of trying to provide residents of Round Lake, Round Lake Beach, Round Lake Heights, Round Lake Park, and Hainesville, a source of local news and events geared just for them. Whether it is covering local elections, school board meetings, village and township meetings, ribbon-cutting grand openings, you will find an array of articles included in Round Lake Area News.

We Welcome News Tips and Event Notices

You can also submit news leads and ideas for consideration that you feel others would enjoy reading about.
