Avon Township held their fourth annual Touch-A-Truck yesterday on a beautiful sunny afternoon. Even with the ongoing construction and barricades to navigate around, plenty of parents brought their youngsters to “touch-a-truck”. But what I found, as in the past, the “bigger” adult kids like to climb aboard the big rigs and pretend like they are operating them as well. I had reported earlier that they were looking for a sponsor to pay for the rental of a children’s “bouncy” but as it turned out the company that the Township rented the beautiful tents from threw one in at no charge. So we will include a big “Thank You” to Magicojump at www.magicojump.net for making a lot of kids happy.
Avon Township Trustee Bill McNeill once again brought over a treasure trove of farm equipment as well as pumpkins for all the kids. I have just as much fun taking pictures and videos of the parents taking videos and photos of their kids in the driver’s seats. All in all, it looked as though everyone was having a great time when I finally left to make room for another vehicle in the parking lot. See you all again next year and Thank You to everyone who took the time to put this event on again this year, especially Supervisor Lisa Rusch.
