The Village of Round Lake will celebrate Arbor Day on Saturday, April 25th  from 9 to noon They will have giveaways, activities for the kids and Guest Speakers talking about EAB, Tree Keepers and a segment with Q&A for our Consultant Arborist.  I attended their event last year and enjoyed many of the live demonstrations as well as looking at all the heavy equipment (who doesn't like that!). One of A.J.’s make-a-wish desires is to be a police officer. On Monday, January 5, 2015 Mayor MacGillis, Clerk Blauvelt and the Police Department we will swear in our newest police officers. One of them is a 7-year-old Round Lake child named A.J. who is being treated for a rare type of brain cancer called DIPG. One of A.J.’s make-a-wish desires is to be a police officer. The Village has agreed that having A.J. join the Round Lake Police Department would be an excellent addition to our Village family. On January 5, 2015 you are encouraged to attend the Round Lake Village Board of Trustee meeting to join in the celebration and welcome our newest officers. Hart Road – Sunset Drive Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Hart Road - Sunset Drive reconstruction project celebrated On October 27, 2014, the Village of Round Lake held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the Hart Road-Sunset Drive Reconstruction Project. Round Lake Mayor Dan MacGillis and the Round Lake Trustees were all at the event as well as representatives from Baxter & Woodman Consulting Engineers including Kurt Baumann and Deborah Finn. During Mayor MacGillis' opening speech, he thanked all of those involved and explained what the project entailed. He was followed by Kurt Baumann from the consulting firm. Then it was time to cut the ribbon which was stretched across Hart Road at the Sunset intersection.
