Running on a tight schedule, Illinois Congressman Robert Dold was able to squeeze in a brown-bag lunch meeting with a few lucky constituents to discuss the legislative business climate in Washington. The mini-forum was held at the Round Lake Beach Cultural Center and attended by Round Lake Beach Mayor Rich Hill, several Village trustees, a few local candidates, and a handful of local business owners.
It was good seeing Congressman Dold visiting some of the new turf he will be representing if re-elected in November. He’s a bit more soft spoken than our current Congressman, Joe Walsh, and even in a small conference room was a bit hard to hear without a mic.
