Well, I think he does far more good here than in Washington, and he hasn’t done a whole lot of good in either, to be honest.

Are you going to cover the one TH at that crazy place fronting as a church this week?
I am quickly learning with these town halls, same rhetoric and same people. Over 250K registered voters in the 8th and it is the same old people attending these “snake-oil” salesman pitch shows.
While there was a 43% turn-out in November, Walsh is beginning to turn the heads of many and I don’t believe it is for the right reason, at least not the right reason to his band of merrymen.

I had planned on attending the Grayslake meeting but instead will be visiting with my 89 year old Mother at her home in Beach Park. I may catch the tail end of the meeting, though. The pastor of that church is a very nice and caring person so I wouldn’t put him or the church down. There is nothing wrong with a church organization supporting specific candidates and I’m sure it is done all the time in other places as well.

Give Joe some credit for continuing to hold these town hall meetings and not hiding in a bunker, afraid of being out among the voters.

Anon ~ What would you have expected a freshman to accomplish in a short two months in office? Please tell us what you would have done in that short of a period so we can pass it along to future freshman.

Gene…Hope your Mom is doing well.

I couldn’t make the TH because a flu bug caught me.

I am sorry, I do not agree with churches being in engaged in anything political. 1st Amendment’s separation of church and state. This church is well know for holding TP rallies.

I do think it is great that elected officials hold THs, but it is the same faces. Very little new which tells me Joe is not winning any new support. Also, as of 3/18, these guys had been office 74 days and only in DC 32. There many challenges facing our nation and where is Congress? Home, and yes talking to constituents sometimes. I think we can both agree, it is time to roll up the sleeves and get to work.

With a 43% voter’s turn-out and a 291 margin, he does not have a mandate. This is a moderate just right of center district and he is too far to the right.
