With the popularity of coupon saving sites such as Groupon, the Daily Herald announced that they will begin offering similar services to their subscribers as well as their online readers. According to today’s paper the Daily Deals can save consumers up to 50% on a variety of purchases at restaurants, events, golf clubs, comedy clubs, and other types of retailers located in the suburbs. The Daily Deals are an initiative being tested to ‘grow commerce to the suburbs at a time when readers are looking to save money and (Daily Herald) advertisers are seeking revenue growth’ said Paddock Publications CEO Douglas Ray.
According to the article a new Daily Deal will appear each day Monday through Friday with the Friday ‘Deal’ running through Sunday.
