Former Senator Adlai Stevenson III & Local Officials
Endorse 10th District Democratic Congressional
Candidate Brad Schneider
NORTHBROOK, IL – Democratic front runner Brad Schneider announced his campaign received more grassroots endorsements in the recent week.
Former Senator Adlai Stevenson III threw his full support behind Schneider’s candidacy. “I grew up admiring Senator Stevenson and his family. His long career dedicated to serving the people of Illinois was an inspiration as I decided to run for Congress,” said Schneider. “I am very proud to receive the endorsement of such a respected figure as Senator Stevenson.”
Joining Senator Stevenson in supporting Schneider’s candidacy are two influential aldermen. Aldermen Brendan Reilly and Toni Foulkes announced their support yesterday. “I am proud to endorse Brad Schneider for Congress,” said Reilly. “We need experienced leaders like Brad who have the economic know-how to grow our communities and move our country forward. Brad is the only Progressive Democrat in this race who can defeat Bob Dold and get things done for the people of Illinois.”
These announcements continue the steady flow of endorsements that Schneider has received over the previous weeks. Progressive local groups and unions who have previously endorsed Schneider include the Maine Township Democrats, Vernon Township Democrats, IBEW Local 134, Iron workers Local 63, Bricklayers and Allied Workers District Council of Illinois, Chicago Painters Local 163 and the Transport Workers Union Illinois-Indiana State Conference.
These announcements also come on the heels of a recent poll showing Schneider with a 15 percentage point lead over his nearest opponent.
