Hainesville, IL: This is an important announcement regarding municipal water usage. The water tower repainting preparation is well under way and we will be draining the water tower next week.

If you have any high water usage projects such as filling pools or jacuzzis please do so by Monday, June 3rd. Effective Tuesday, June 4th there will be a ban in place on all lawn sprinklers for approximately one month. You may hand water with your hose to tend gardens, fill kiddie pools and wash vehicles. Kiddie sprinklers may be utilized for a maximum of 2 hours per day. New sod and landscaping may still be watered with sprinklers for no more than 10 consecutive days.

Both fire departments are aware of this project and adequate fire protection for the village is our main concern at this time. The sprinkling ban, municipal underground storage tank and three temporary storage tanks will be utilized. We will make another announcement when regular watering restrictions are restored.
