Helping The Tornado Victims In Coal City

[amazon text=Amazon&cat=local&last=3&wishlist_type=Random]Local Round Lake area residents Marcia Donahue and Dan Leuze are gathering together donations for the victims of  who lost their homes and possessions during this weeks tornado. Their plan is to drive down to Coal City this weekend and then again the following weekend with whatever donations they receive. They are asking for such things as cleaning supplies, garbage bags, towels, bottled water, non-perishable foods, batteries, diapers, cameras (to help in recording losses) and sanitary products. The items donated will be left at the local mall where collections are being accepted and dispersed to those in need. Marcia provided me with a couple of early photos but more items have arrived since then. If anyone would also like to help offset their gas expenses and possibly a truck/trailer rental cost if donations skyrocket, please feel free to also help along those lines since they do not have the funds to rent a truck/trailer.

Items can be dropped off up until Friday night.
