Save the Date! This particular Candidate Forum is set for Sunday, October 7 at 1:00 P.M. As more information is released on which offices/candidates will be at the debate, I will release those details.
The League of Women Voters of Lake County will hold a public Candidate Forum. The Forum is co-sponsored by the Round Lake Area Public Library and will be held at the Round Lake Beach Cultural & Civic Center in Round Lake Beach.

League of Women Voters and the Round Lake Area Public Library To Conduct Candidate Event
The League of Women Voters of Lake County and the Round Lake Area Public Library will hold a public event for candidates in contested races for 10th Congressional District, 31st State Senate District, 62nd State House District, County Board Districts 3, 5, 6, and 16. The event will be on Sunday, October 7, 2012, at the Round Lake Beach Cultural and Civic Center, 2007 N. Civic Center Way, Round Lake Beach, IL. The doors will open at 12:30 p.m. and the candidate event will begin at 1:00 p.m. Note: This will not be a Forum, as previously announced, due to scheduling conflicts from the candidates. This event is open to the public.
After brief introductory remarks, candidates will give a public interview. Following that public interview, candidates will be available for individual questions at their own table space. The session will end at 3:30 p.m.
WRLR 98.3-FM and Comcast will cover the event. The event will be carried live on WRLR 98.3-FM and over the station’s website at wrlr.fm. A rebroadcast is set for 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 14. Comcast will air the event on Saturday, October 13 at 5:00 p.m. on Comcast Channel 17 and weekly thereafter.
