Dr. Mendoza also played a large role in the communication efforts leading to a successful passage of a November 2014 referendum, bringing a $29 million renovation project to Round Lake High School.

Dr. Mendoza is an active member of the Round Lake Area, serving as a director of the Round Lake Area Exchange Club. Dr. Mendoza is a well-known individual within the community through his work as a school principal and central office administrator representing the District at countless community organization and village presentations.

“RLAS-116 has made great strides through the implementation of an extremely aggressive strategic plan to ensure high levels of student success. Our Board of Education is confident that Dr. Mendoza will continue this progress through strong leadership and a clear vision for success. His enthusiasm and drive for quality public education and more specifically the education within RLAS-116 is evident. We are excited about the future of RLAS-116 with Dr. Mendoza as Superintendent,” said Kevin Daniels, School Board President.
