At Wednesday’s special Community Forum the Round Lake Area School District 116 put on an hour long presentation which discussed the Districts efforts to prepare our children to compete in a global society. Deputy Superintendent of Teaching and Learning, Veronica Lake, took parents through a history of how children used to be taught compared to the changing ways that they need to be taught in the future. Many of the things discussed are already being implemented in the RLASD already.
Like Superintendent Dr. Constance Collins said at the end of the meeting “There should have been a standing room only crowd in attendance since there is nothing more important than the teaching and learning of our children…….”
