Round Lake Area School District 116 has announced an opening to fill a vacancy on the School Board. Absent from the list of school board members is Douglas Raul Williams. A request for details regarding Mr. Williams departure from the school board was submitted to both Superintendent Constance Collins as well as Board President Nanci Radford. So far, neither has responded.

UPDATE: Nanci Radford responded shortly after I emailed her but I was away from my computer for the afternoon hours. Following is her response which she also took the time to include in the comments (Thank you Nanci):

Thank you for your inquiry. Mr. Williams’ resignation was voluntary due to his appointment to the Avon Township Board. His resignation was accepted in open session on Monday, March 19, 2012. At that time, a resolution was passed honoring his contribution and dedication to Round Lake Area School District 116 and the youth and families in the Round Lake Area Community.

Sincerely,

Nanci Radford
