Round Lake Beach residents will find a referendum on the upcoming March 20th Primary ballot that asks them to vote on whether or not they want the Village to enter into an Electric Aggregation agreement. Today, many of us received a reverse directory call with a message about an upcoming open house to be held at the RLB Village Hall, located at 1937 Municipal Way on Tuesday, March 13th at 7:00 PM.

Below is information from the Village website:

Village to hold Informational Open House on Electric Aggregation

The Village of Round Lake Beach will be holding an informational open house on electric aggregation at 7p.m. on Tuesday, March 13 in the Community Room of Village Hall located at 1937 N. Municipal Way. The Village is pursuing electric aggregation to lower electric rates for residents and small businesses. To pursue lower electric rates the Village must get authorization from residents through a referendum question on the March 20th  ballot. The open house is intended to serve as a forum for residents to become more informed about municipal aggregation and find out how aggregation can lower their electric bills.

Representatives from the Village and Northern Illinois Municipal Electric Collaborative, the Villages aggregation consultant, will be on hand to explain the process and answer any questions.
