It was a beautiful day for Round Lake’s Home Town Fest
The Village of Round Lake held their annual Home Town Fest that included something for all ages to enjoy. This year they had a petting zoo, pony rides, crafts, car show, the Scouts climbing wall and rope fence, a beer tent, WOW balls, foam machine, taco eating contests, puppet shows, live entertainment, and much more. After shooting a video of Round Lake Heights parade and some of their festival before arriving, I had to conserve what I had left in my camera battery but did manage to get most of the cars in the car show as well as both the mild and hot taco eating contest recorded. It takes a lot of people and a lot of effort to put on these local events and we all thank the volunteers for doing this for the rest of us to enjoy.
Larry Hill was the big winner in the car show this year, taking home several trophies.
Stephen Hill won the MILD taco eating contest
Dave Vandergriff won the HOT taco eating contest (no word on how he’s doing Sunday)
