Rupam Davé, a Mundelein attorney, has been selected to replace Cynthia Pruim Haran as the Democratic candidate for Lake County Circuit Court Clerk to run against current Republican Lake County deputy clerk, Keith Brin.

Rupam Davé cut her political teeth at the age of 17 when she served as an intern for former State Senator Grace Mary Stearn, who was the Lake County Clerk at the time. Rupam Davé, who graduated from Libertyville High School, went on to earn her law degree from Loyola School of Law and was first licensed to practice in 1995. She currently works out of the law offices of Keith Louis West in Mundelein.

Candidate Cynthia Pruim Haran withdrew as the Democratic candidate last week which left the Lake County Democratic party scrambling to find a replacement by early June and still need the required number of signatures to actually get Rupam Davé on the November ballot.

If successful in being placed on the November ballot. Rupam Davé will face Keith Brin who has been the deputy clerk under Sally Coffelt who elected not to run for re-election.
