The weather was perfect for Friday’s BeachFest
Below are several videos assembled from numerous clips taken Friday at this years Round Lake Beachfest being held at the Round Lake Beach Cultural & Civic Center June 20th through the 22nd. The carnival is much bigger and better than in the past with a lot more adult rides. There is plenty of parking at the Metra train station and they will be operating shuttles from the vacant K-Mart parking lot for overflow visitors since the lot at the Cultural Center will be hosting the motorcycle show on Saturday. The reptile lady was there again this year and many enjoyed being able to touch the giant snake that she carried around her neck. The Scouts had their popular climbing wall and there is also a couple of those “bouncy” things for kids to burn off excess energy. I couldn’t catch all the action on the various stages but was able to tape some of Mandy Z as well as “bella cain” performing on the main stage. I also loved hearing a local talent singing one of my favorite songs “Mad World” on the Cultural Stage.
Hope to see you there for this wonderful family event with something for everybody. The weather, so far, has been great without rain, humidity and mosquitoes!
