Residents generously donated food for the needy
A request went out by Wendy Warden, President and founder of the Avon Community Food Pantry for volunteers to help unload the truck that would be bringing cans and non-perishable food items collected as part of the U.S. Postal Service “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive. Plenty of volunteers showed up at the food pantry located next to the Township offices and in record time they unloaded the truck that arrived packed to the ceiling with food donations. The following video is from a few clips that were stitched together to show how much food people in the local communities were willing to share with those in need. It’s nice to live in a community that cares about others.
