Interested in finding out what your local public works employees do to maintain your streets, sewer and water systems, parkway trees, sidewalks, drainage, winter operations, etc.? Then you won’t want to miss Round Lake’s Public Works Open House during National Public Works Week.
While you are busy finding out what the guys with the orange and yellow safety vests do during their shifts, the kids will find plenty of things to keep them occupied like sitting in big trucks or painting a snow plow. This sounds like five hours of fun for local residents to stop by and meet their public works employees and ask them whatever questions you may have. Be sure to bring a non-perishable donation if you plan to stop by to help fill the shelves at our local food pantries.
