Where Did Summer Go?

It seems like just the other day that residents were finally able to enjoy our beautiful lake for swimming and boating. Today’s walk to the lakefront found it totally vacated as the kids are back to doing their homework and homeowners start getting ready for what is predicted to be an earlier than usual brutal winter.

The only thing moving around at the lakefront were the huge number of Canadian geese and a larger number of sea gulls than normal. I saw a small squirrel disappear into a large tree trunk while holding onto some type of nut, also getting ready for winter.

It was eerily silent, not seeing a single soul during today’s lakefront walk. The good news was that when I arrived back home my new BRIDGESTONE BLIZZAK REVO-1 snow tires (from eBay) had arrived! Bring it on!
