With the temporary Route 83 bridge removal last week in the wee hours of Friday morning, work now focuses on removing the asphalt, soil, and steel pilings that created the temporary Rt. 83 embankments. The bridge was placed on the north end of temporary Route 83 as it was being removed and has now been completely disassembled and transported back to ACROW Bridge for use elsewhere.
The contractors continue to construct the framework for the concrete walls along the SW side of Rt. 83 along the railroad grade. You can see where the most recent pour has been covered up to allow it to dry properly without freezing.
