Residents ‘not opposed to Aldi,’ but raise concerns about traffic and flooding as Gurnee nears approval of new store

The village board is set to receive a zoning report Monday recommending approval of the annexation of a lot on Grand Avenue for construction of an Aldi.

Residents of the unincorporated neighborhood behind the site are concerned about the safety of area children, who play and wait at bus stops near an entrance delivery trucks would use to access the site off of Woodland Terrace.
